Acquisitions in Alaska in 2013

Crowley Petroleum Distribution LLC has acquired Anderes Oil, Inc., a provider of aviation, heating, fuel and lubricant oils serving Ketchikan, Alaska and surrounding areas. The transaction is an owner exit by the Anderes founders and represents Crowley’s first expansion into southeast Alaska; Anderes’ ~20 employees will be integrated into Crowley with minimal operational disruption.

Crowley Petroleum Distribution LLC has acquired Taku Oil Sales, Inc., a family-owned petroleum distributor serving Juneau, Alaska for nearly 50 years. The purchase, driven by Crowley’s desire to expand service coverage in southeast Alaska, follows the Taku founders’ planned retirement and will preserve existing operations and staff under Crowley’s ownership.
