Acquisitions in Florida in 2014

MTS Health Investors has completed a recapitalization investment in Florida Gulf-to-Bay Anesthesiology Associates (FGTB), partnering with the physician owners to provide capital for future growth. FGTB, based in Tampa, Florida, provides anesthesia and pain management services to hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers in Florida and Indiana; management will retain a significant stake and terms were not disclosed.

Broad Insurance Group, a subsidiary of Broad Financial, has acquired Art Hartselle Agency Inc. (Hartselle Insurance), a Seminole, Florida-based commercial and personal lines P&C agency. The agency will continue operating from its Seminole location with its current staff and Robert Southard has been appointed President as part of Broad's strategy to grow a platform of small- to mid-size insurance agencies.

First Tek has acquired the assets of Emtec's staffing business unit and assumed responsibility for its ongoing operations. The deal expands First Tek's IT staffing capabilities and was facilitated by the Global IT M&A Forum; Emtec sold the division to focus on its core business.

D-Tech North, LLC (operating as D-Tech Business Solutions) has acquired Pixel Technology Consultants, LLC, a Xerox-authorized dealer serving a contractually protected territory in central Florida. The deal combines two authorized Xerox sales partners to expand D-Tech's geographic footprint and print-management capabilities for small and medium-sized business customers in Florida.
