Wealth Management Acquisitions in Utah

Merit Financial Advisors, a Georgia-based wealth management firm, has acquired RCM Investments of American Fork, Utah, adding $281 million in assets and establishing Merit's first office in Utah. The four principals of RCM will join Merit as wealth managers and partners; financial terms were not disclosed.

Wealth Enhancement Group has acquired Rock House Financial, an independent RIA based in Farmington, Utah that manages over $272 million in client assets. The deal gives Wealth Enhancement Group its first presence in Utah and expands its footprint across the Mountain West while Rock House Financial's advisors gain access to centralized services including IT, compliance, legal, security, and marketing.

EP Wealth Advisors, a Torrance, California-based RIA, acquired The Insight Group, Inc. and Financial Insight Center, LLC—two Utah-based wealth management firms—in a deal that closed Sept. 30, 2020. The acquisition expands EP Wealth's geographic footprint into Utah and increases its assets under management by more than $1 billion; founding owners of Insight will join EP Wealth's leadership team.
