Amedisys, Inc. has agreed to acquire Contessa Health, a Nashville-based provider of hospital-at-home and SNF-at-home services, for approximately $250 million. Contessa will operate as a wholly owned division of Amedisys and its CareConvergence informatics platform will be integrated to expand Amedisys' higher-acuity, tech-enabled home-based care capabilities and increase its in-home care TAM.
The Vistria Group led a recapitalization and growth investment in Medalogix and Muse Healthcare, consolidating the two data-science and machine-learning businesses under the Medalogix brand to expand clinical decision‑support capabilities for home health, palliative and hospice providers. Minority equity investors in the transaction include LHC Group, Amedisys Home Health and Hospice, and Encompass Health, which will help accelerate adoption across a large nationwide provider footprint.
Amedisys, Inc. acquired Bring Care Home, a privately owned personal care services provider serving the North Shore, Merrimack Valley and Greater Boston areas of Massachusetts. The deal (announced/closed in 2018) expands Amedisys’ personal care footprint in northeastern Massachusetts; the sell-side was advised exclusively by American Healthcare Capital.
