Bergman Clinics will acquire Amsterdam-based The Hand Clinic, pending approval from Bergman Clinics' works council and the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa). The acquisition expands Bergman Clinics' locomotor-system capabilities by adding a specialist hand and wrist clinic with a strong regional patient catchment and long-standing reputation for quality care.
Bergman Clinics acquired Van Linschoten Specialisten (VLS) in a merger completed in November 2020, announced by NPM Capital in April 2021. The integration expands Bergman Clinics' service offering into ENT (ear, nose and throat) care, including a specialised pediatric ENT programme.
Bergman Clinics plans to acquire six Capio clinics in Germany (a Capio / Ramsay Santé divestment), adding approximately 900 employees and capacity for about 200,000 patient visits per year. The deal expands Bergman Clinics' footprint into the German market—strengthening its Northwestern Europe platform in specialised plannable medical care (notably vascular surgery and eye care) and adding two regional hospitals for orthopaedic/general care; the transaction was expected to close in Q4 2020.
