Choice Health at Home, a PE-backed home health and hospice operator, acquired Lumicare Hospice, expanding its hospice footprint in Texas and Arizona and establishing services in Colorado. Financial terms were not disclosed; Lumicare founder Kevin Peay will serve as president of operations for the Colorado location.

Choice Homecare of Texas, a Texas-based hospice, rehab and home health provider, has acquired Nextgen Hospice LLC, a Houston-based hospice provider. The acquisition expands Choice's hospice and palliative capabilities and extends its footprint into greater Houston; Nextgen's owner Tom Kurian will join Choice following the transaction.
