Huntington Bancshares announced the completion of its merger with Veritex Holdings, expanding Huntington’s presence in Texas—particularly Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston. Veritex’s 31 Texas branches are expected to be retained and integrated into Huntington’s network, with Veritex customer accounts transitioning to Huntington’s systems in the first quarter of 2026.
Veritex Holdings, Inc. will acquire North Avenue Capital, LLC via a newly formed subsidiary of Veritex Community Bank, making NAC a wholly owned subsidiary focused on USDA B&I lending. Veritex will pay $57.5 million in cash (with a potential $5 million earnout) and expects the deal to close in Q4 2021 to expand its USDA lending capabilities and leverage NAC's loan sourcing technology.
Veritex Holdings, Inc. (the holding company for Veritex Community Bank) completed its acquisition of Houston-based Green Bancorp, Inc., the holding company for Green Bank, on January 1, 2019. The deal combines roughly $4.4 billion in Green Bancorp assets with Veritex to create a combined company with about $8 billion in assets and expands Veritex's branch and employee footprint in Texas.
