Agriculture Acquisitions in Minnesota

John Deere has acquired Sentera, a St. Paul, Minnesota–based provider of drone-mounted cameras and FieldAgent agronomic software. The deal will integrate Sentera's high-resolution imagery and prescription-generation capabilities into the John Deere Operations Center to expand the company’s precision-ag technology and deliver more actionable data to farmers, agronomists and equipment partners.

Mann Lake Bee & Ag Supply (Mann Lake Ltd.), the world’s largest manufacturer and distributor of beekeeping supplies, was acquired on March 21, 2025 by a coalition of family investors including owners of a sustainable farming business, an olive farmer, and beekeepers. The transaction returns the company to family ownership, leaves Mann Lake debt-free, and provides capital to support long-term growth and product development for beekeepers and backyard poultry customers.

EASY BIO, Inc., a South Korea-based animal nutrition company, has acquired Devenish North America — the North American division and related assets of Devenish Nutrition Group. The sale is a divestiture by Devenish to sharpen focus on its core European operations; Devenish will use proceeds to pay down debt and invest in other international markets while Devenish North America will continue to operate under the Devenish name under EASY BIO ownership.

Rovensa Group has acquired Agro-K, a family-owned U.S. biostimulants developer founded in 1976 and based in Minneapolis. Agro-K will be integrated into Rovensa Next to strengthen Rovensa's biosolutions portfolio and accelerate its expansion in the United States; financial terms were not disclosed.

Titan Machinery (NASDAQ: TITN) has acquired Heartland AG Systems, Inc., the largest CASE IH application equipment distributorship in North America and a leading distributor of sprayer parts and accessories. D.A. Davidson served as exclusive financial advisor to Heartland; the sellers were Heartland's ownership group (including Bob Caldwell, Gordon Glade and Jeff Keller). The acquisition expands Titan's parts, service and distribution footprint across the Midwest and western U.S.

Rabobank and TELUS Agriculture jointly acquired Conservis, a farm management systems company that consolidates farm data into a single platform. The partners plan to further develop Conservis’ platform—enhancing financial reporting and integrating with TELUS Agriculture’s ADX/ASX—to help growers manage agronomy, finances and supply-chain validation.

Wind Point Partners’ portfolio company Pestell Nutrition acquired Origination O2D (O2D) on December 20, 2019. The add-on transaction expands Pestell Nutrition’s U.S. footprint, logistical capabilities and proprietary product portfolio to accelerate growth in the North American animal nutrition market.

Mann Lake Ltd. (based in Hackensack, Minnesota) has acquired Stromberg's Unlimited, a long-running supplier of live poultry and poultry equipment. The acquisition expands Mann Lake’s product offering and reach into the growing backyard poultry market; Eric Stromberg joined Mann Lake as Director of Poultry following the deal.
