Cybersecurity Acquisitions in Arizona

Dataprise, a Trinity Hunt Partners-backed MSP and MSSP, has acquired Phoenix IT (phx-IT), a Phoenix-based cyber incident response and managed services provider. The deal adds incident response and remediation capabilities to Dataprise's cybersecurity platform and expands its regional managed services footprint into Arizona.

LOCH Technologies (LOCH.io) has acquired Avirtek, Inc., a Tucson-based developer of AI/ML-driven autonomic cybersecurity (ACS) technology, to integrate Avirtek's predictive data detection and response (DDR) capabilities into LOCH's AirShield platform. Avirtek founder Professor Salim Hariri will join LOCH as Senior Vice President of Research and Development to accelerate integration of behavior analytics and encrypted-traffic detection features.

MicroAge has acquired cStor, a provider of cybersecurity, modern infrastructure, and digital transformation solutions, to deepen its cybersecurity and data center engineering capabilities. The acquisition brings cStor's Southwest-focused professional services and infrastructure expertise into MicroAge's national digital transformation platform to drive scale and expanded services for clients.

Cyber Security Works (CSW) acquired the CYR3CON intellectual property and associated technology to incorporate early-warning, AI-driven vulnerability and threat intelligence into its attack surface and vulnerability management platform. The technology—originally developed with support from Arizona State University LightWorks and the U.S. Navy Office of Naval Research (NEPTUNE)—adds predictive, pre-breach insights that map vulnerabilities to real-world attacker behavior and improve remediation prioritization.

Cerberus Cyber Sentinel Corporation (OTC: CISO), a Scottsdale-based cybersecurity consulting and managed services firm, has acquired Ground Control IT, an Arizona-based managed security services provider. Ground Control will join Cerberus Sentinel's portfolio with President Ryan Greyslak named vice president, managed services; financial terms were not disclosed.

Sontiq, a portfolio company of The Wicks Group, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Cyberscout, a provider of cyber products and forensic investigation services tailored to the insurance industry. The acquisition expands Sontiq's identity and cyber protection platform (alongside IdentityForce and EZShield) and deepens its capabilities and relationships in the insurance and financial services markets.
