Cybersecurity Acquisitions in Michigan

Virtual Guardian, a division of ESI Technologies, has acquired AmeriNet, Inc., a networking and security solutions reseller based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The transaction expands Virtual Guardian's regional presence and broadens its cybersecurity and networking services offering for AmeriNet's customers across North America.

PDI Technologies has acquired Nuspire to expand its Security Solutions business and accelerate delivery of managed security services to convenience retail, QSR, automotive dealerships, manufacturing, and adjacent industries. Nuspire, a Metro Detroit–headquartered managed security services provider (MSSP) with MDR, EDR and cybersecurity consulting capabilities, will be integrated into PDI’s cybersecurity and managed network services segment.

Clearwater, an operating company of Altaris Capital Partners, has completed the acquisition of TECH LOCK in a carve-out from RevSpring. The acquisition adds TECH LOCK's 24/7 managed detection and response (MDR) capabilities and compliance services (HITRUST, PCI, CMMC, HIPAA) to Clearwater's healthcare-focused cybersecurity and compliance offering.

Converge Technology Solutions Corp. (TSX:CTS) acquired cybersecurity solutions provider Creative Breakthroughs, Inc. (CBI), a Ferndale, Michigan–based managed security and cybersecurity services firm. Consideration included US$47.0 million in cash plus working capital in excess of $3M and up to US$17 million in earn-outs; the deal expands Converge’s cybersecurity capabilities and is expected to be immediately accretive.

SecureLink, a leader in third-party remote access and security based in Austin, Texas, has acquired Maize Analytics, a provider of machine-learning driven data governance and EHR access monitoring. The acquisition integrates Maize's insider-access detection and audit capabilities into SecureLink's third‑party access, identity and compliance offerings to strengthen security and compliance particularly across healthcare and other regulated industries.

Sysnet Global Solutions, a Dublin-based provider of cybersecurity and PCI compliance solutions, has acquired NuArx, Inc., a Southfield, Michigan-headquartered provider of PCI compliance SaaS and managed security for retail, restaurant, convenience and grocery merchants. The deal — a successful exit for One Equity Partners — expands Sysnet’s SecurePCI and managed-security capabilities and accelerates its North American market presence; terms were not disclosed.
