FlowTech, Inc., a Kalamazoo, Michigan-based manufacturer of fluid filtration products and purification equipment, was acquired from long-time owner Phil Ragains by individual investors David Kersjes and Steven Remstad (DAAD Holdings, Inc.). The sellers engaged Calder Capital as exclusive M&A advisor; Ragains will remain as a consultant to support the ownership transition while the new owners plan to grow the business.

Fairbanks Morse Defense Acquires Fluid Filtration Specialists LLC

Fairbanks Morse Defense (a portfolio company of Arcline Investment Management) has acquired Fluid Filtration Specialists LLC, a U.S.-based provider of flushing, filtration and testing services for marine vessels and heavy-duty engines. The add-on expands FMD's service capabilities for shipyard, defense and commercial marine customers including the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard.

Ingersoll Rand Acquires Controlled Fluidics and Ethafilter s.r.l.

Ingersoll Rand Inc. has closed two acquisitions: Controlled Fluidics, a U.S.-based thermoplastic bonding and custom plastic assembly specialist serving life sciences and other high-growth end markets, and Ethafilter s.r.l., an Italy-based producer of filters and filter elements for the compressed air sector. The deals expand Ingersoll Rand's product portfolio and aftermarket capabilities, strengthening its position in life sciences, sterile filtration, and air treatment markets.

Madison Air Acquires AcoustiFLO

Madison Air has acquired AcoustiFLO, a Denver‑area manufacturer of high‑performance plenum fans and acoustic fan technology, to add aerodynamic efficiency and acoustic performance capabilities to its Air Handling Group (AHG). AcoustiFLO, founded in 1995 and headquartered in Aurora, Colorado, will report to Madison Air's AHG and its technology will be integrated across portfolio air‑handling platforms including FANWALL offerings.

The Middleby Corporation Acquires Filtration Automation Inc.

The Middleby Corporation has acquired Filtration Automation, Inc., the maker of Micron‑Pro high‑capacity oil management systems used in poultry, fish and snack food applications. The Mansfield, Texas company generates approximately $10 million in annual revenue and its patented continuous oil filtration technology will expand Middleby’s frying system and food‑processing product offerings.
