Automattic Acquires Prospress (Developer of WooCommerce Subscriptions)

Automattic has acquired Prospress, the team behind WooCommerce Subscriptions (and the AutomateWoo and Robot Ninja products), to jointly develop a unified recurring payments solution and continue product development within the WooCommerce division. Prospress’s distributed team will join Automattic’s WooCommerce group; no financial terms were disclosed.

Caseproof Acquires WishList Products

Caseproof said it will maintain WishList Member as a standalone product while folding CourseCure into WishList Member to expand membership and course monetization capabilities across its portfolio.

The acquisition expands Prolifics' cloud-native, middleware and custom software delivery capabilities in the UK and Ireland while allowing Tier 2 to scale its services and continue operating under its existing leadership.

Pixieset Acquires Flothemes

Awesome Motive has acquired Sandhills Development’s entire suite of WordPress products and services, along with the associated product teams, including AffiliateWP, Easy Digital Downloads, Sugar Calendar, WP Simple Pay, and the Payouts Service. The acquisition transfers stewardship of the products and team to Awesome Motive so Sandhills founder Pippin Williamson can step away from WordPress and focus on conservation efforts.
