Ridgemont Equity Partners Acquires Sparus Holdings

Ridgemont Equity Partners completed an acquisition of Sparus Holdings, a provider of outsourced field and professional services for utility and industrial customers, in March 2021. Ridgemont's investment will support the build-out of a scaled, end-to-end utility services platform and Sparus has since acquired OneVision Utility Services to expand its utility locate and damage prevention capabilities.

Sparus Holdings Acquires Allegiant Utility Services and TruCheck, Inc.

Sparus Holdings, a portfolio company of Ridgemont Equity Partners, has acquired Allegiant Utility Services and TruCheck, Inc. The acquisitions expand Sparus' meter and smart-grid field services capabilities — including installation, network deployment, meter renewal, testing and inspection — to support utility customers; terms were not disclosed.

USIC Locating Services LLC, an affiliate of USIC, LLC, has acquired Utility Resource Group, LLC (URG), a Troy, Michigan–based provider of underground utility locating, gas leak detection, meter services, sewer lateral inspections, and cross-bore mitigation. The deal expands USIC's service footprint and field workforce across the Midwest and Southeast, enhancing its ability to serve utilities and municipalities.

SPX Corporation Acquires ULC Robotics

ML Utilities Acquires Utility Equipment Service, Inc.

ML Utilities, a subsidiary of ML Holdings Company, has acquired Spring Hill, Tennessee–based Utility Equipment Service, Inc. (UES) to expand its footprint and service capabilities in Middle Tennessee. The acquisition adds UES's shop repair, sales, rentals, parts and upfitting capabilities to ML Utilities' existing mobile and shop offerings, enabling broader support for utility fleet owners across the region.
