Francisco Partners to Acquire Forcepoint from Raytheon Technologies

Francisco Partners has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Forcepoint from Raytheon Technologies in a carve-out transaction. The private equity firm said it will partner with Forcepoint management to invest in the company's cloud-native security portfolio and operate Forcepoint as an independent company; the deal is financed in part by debt from Credit Suisse and remains subject to regulatory review.

DeepSeas Acquires RedTeam Security

TPG Acquires Forcepoint Global Governments and Critical Infrastructure (G2CI) Business

TPG, through its TPG Capital private equity platform, acquired Forcepoint's Global Governments and Critical Infrastructure (G2CI) cybersecurity business and established it as an independent company focused on defense, intelligence and critical infrastructure customers. The transaction separates Forcepoint's Commercial and G2CI businesses; Francisco Partners will retain a minority stake in the newly independent G2CI business and Sean Berg was named CEO with Peter Leav joining as Executive Chairman.

Forcepoint Acquires Security Service Edge Leader Bitglass

Proofpoint Acquires InteliSecure for $62.5M

Proofpoint, Inc. agreed to acquire InteliSecure, a data-loss-protection managed services provider, for $62.5 million in cash. The acquisition (expected to close in Q1 2021) adds roughly 150 employees and strengthens Proofpoint’s people-centric cloud-based DLP and managed security services; InteliSecure was sold by investor Frontier Growth.

Fortinet Acquires Next DLP to Strengthen Unified SASE Data Protection

The acquisition will integrate Next DLP's AI/ML-powered anomaly detection and classification capabilities into Fortinet's SSE/SASE and broader Security Fabric to expand Fortinet's standalone and integrated DLP offerings.
