Jacksons Food Stores Acquires Redwood Oil Company (Redwood Market)

Jacksons Food Stores has acquired Redwood Oil Company, operator of the 24-store Redwood Market convenience-store chain in Northern California, nearly doubling Jacksons' California footprint from about 30 to 54 locations. The acquisition gives Jacksons its first made-to-order foodservice capability (Redwood’s Aztec Grill) and will allow the retailer to pilot the program across its wider network while integrating Jacksons products and systems.

The Kent Cos. Acquires Jack's Convenience Stores

The Kent Cos., a family-owned Midland, Texas convenience-store operator, has acquired eight Jack's Convenience Stores in West Texas (Midland, San Angelo and Abilene). The acquired locations will be rebranded to Kent Kwik, updated to sell Chevron- or Texaco-branded fuels and integrated into Kent's network to strengthen its West Texas presence.

Majors Management Acquires Davis Oil Co.

Nouria Energy Acquires H.A. Mapes Inc.

Nouria Energy Corp. acquired the assets of H.A. Mapes Inc., adding 13 owned series locations, nine former Harry’s convenience stores and additional dealer sites to its New England retail and dealer network. In a simultaneous, related transaction, Brown Bear Co. purchased H.A. Mapes' transportation business; Matrix Capital Markets advised H.A. Mapes on the sale.
