T1 Energy Acquires Trina Solar's U.S. Manufacturing Assets

T1 Energy Inc. (formerly FREYR) acquired the U.S. solar manufacturing assets of Trina Solar Co., Ltd. for $621 million, including a 5 GW, 1.35 million sq. ft. module facility in Wilmer, Texas (now named G1 Dallas). The asset purchase was announced November 6, 2024 and closed December 24, 2024 as part of T1's strategy to build a vertically integrated U.S. solar and battery manufacturing supply chain.
