Enbridge Acquires Tri Global Energy

Enbridge Inc. acquired U.S. renewable project developer Tri Global Energy for US$270 million in cash plus assumed debt, with up to ~US$50 million in contingent payments. The purchase brings TGE’s ~7 GW wind and solar development portfolio and its development team into Enbridge’s renewables platform to accelerate North American growth in wind and solar.

TransTech Energy, a portfolio company of Bridge Industries, through a newly formed subsidiary ENERGYneering Solutions, LLC, acquired a majority ownership stake in ENERGYneering Solutions, Inc., a biogas engineering and services provider based in Sisters, Oregon. The add-on expands TransTech’s biogas engineering, construction, operations and maintenance capabilities and strengthens its West Coast presence while ENERGYneering’s president Benny Benson will retain an ownership stake and remain as president.

Brookfield Renewable Acquires Urban Grid for $650M

(formerly FREYR) acquired the U.S. solar manufacturing assets of Trina Solar Co., Ltd. for $621 million, including a 5 GW, 1.35 million sq. ft. module facility in Wilmer, Texas (now named G1 Dallas). The asset purchase was announced November 6, 2024 and closed December 24, 2024 as part of T1's strategy to build a vertically integrated U.S. solar and battery manufacturing supply chain.
