HealthStream (Nasdaq: HSTM) acquired Virsys12, a provider-data-management and credentialing software vendor, to expand its Network by HealthStream credentialing application suite for payers and health plan enterprises. The deal was for up to $17 million in cash (with earnout and post-closing working capital adjustments), and HealthStream will integrate Virsys12's V12 Enterprise application and managed services into its hStream Platform and Professional Services offering.

HealthStream Acquires CloudCME

HealthStream (Nasdaq: HSTM) completed the acquisition of the remaining equity interest in CloudCME, a Nashville-based SaaS provider of continuing medical education (CME/CE) management tools. The transaction (approx. $4.08M cash plus $4.08M in HealthStream common stock, subject to working capital adjustments) expands HealthStream’s platform capabilities for healthcare continuing education and consolidates CloudCME’s nationwide customer base into HealthStream’s ecosystem.

HealthStream Acquires myClinicalExchange

HealthStream acquired substantially all of the assets of myClinicalExchange LLC for approximately $4.5 million in cash, gaining a SaaS application used by roughly 400 hospitals, 1,000 colleges and universities, and 50,000 students annually. The acquisition expands HealthStream's workforce solutions to include the pre-graduation healthcare workforce (medical, nursing, and allied healthcare students) and integrates myClinicalExchange into HealthStream's Workforce Solutions segment.

HealthStream Acquires NurseGrid

HealthStream (Nasdaq: HSTM) acquired NurseGrid, a Portland, Oregon–based healthcare technology company that operates the NurseGrid Mobile app and NurseGrid Enterprise, for approximately $25 million in cash. NurseGrid has over 260,000 monthly active users and about 20 employees; HealthStream said the acquisition will expand its nurse-focused digital offerings and deepen engagement across its workforce solutions ecosystem.

HealthStream Acquires Providigm

HealthStream (NASDAQ: HSTM) acquired Providigm LLC, a Denver-based provider of the abaqis SaaS quality-management program for skilled nursing facilities, for approximately $18 million in cash plus up to $500,000 in performance-based consideration. The acquisition (Providigm’s ~45 employees remain in Denver) expands HealthStream's workforce and quality-management offerings to better serve skilled nursing and post-acute care providers, where abaqis is used by over 2,000 facilities.
