Monterey Bay Herb Co, a Frontenac-backed botanical processor and distributor based in Watsonville, California, has acquired AmeriHerb, an Ames, Iowa–based distributor of botanicals, herbs, and spices that sells primarily through AmeriHerb.com and Herbalcom.com. The deal is an add-on to the Monterey Bay platform intended to expand product assortment and e‑commerce reach across nutraceutical, food & beverage, pet, and health & beauty end markets.

Beach Point Capital Management’s private equity team (on behalf of BPC Tactical Fund LP) made a majority investment in Botanical Designs, a specialty commercial landscaping and green-wall design, installation and maintenance company. Management will remain owners, terms were not disclosed, and the capital will support geographic expansion, business transformation and strategic M&A (Botanical Designs recently acquired Interior Foliage Company to expand in Seattle).

Lesaffre (Agrauxine) Acquires Advanced Biological Marketing (ABM)

The add-on expands Botanical Designs' geographic footprint into key southeastern markets (Orlando, Tampa Bay, Jacksonville and Atlanta) and strengthens its capabilities in design, installation and contracted plant maintenance.
