Hydrofarm Acquires House & Garden

Hydrofarm Holdings Group, Inc. agreed to acquire House & Garden, Inc. and affiliated entities for approximately $125 million, funded with existing cash, with the acquired businesses becoming wholly owned indirect subsidiaries. The acquisition expands Hydrofarm's branded nutrients portfolio (including the House & Garden and Mad Farmer brands), with House & Garden expected to generate about $55 million in 2021 net sales and the deal valuing the business at under 7x estimated 2021 adjusted EBITDA.

Main Street Capital Invests $31.8M in Classic H&G Holdings (Minority Recapitalization)

Main Street Capital Corporation provided $31.8 million in a combination of first‑lien senior secured term debt and a minority direct equity investment to Classic H&G Holdings, LLC to facilitate a minority recapitalization and provide growth capital and liquidity. The investment, made alongside an unnamed co‑investor and in partnership with the company's existing owner and senior management, also includes a credit facility to support Classic's future growth initiatives and working capital needs.

H.I.G. Growth Partners Sells Just Home Healthcare Services in Two-Part Divestiture

H.I.G. Growth Partners completed the sale of its portfolio company Just Home Healthcare Services (JHC) in two transactions: the Personal Home Care and Adult Day Health segments were sold in April 2023 to Honor Health Network (backed by Webster Equity Partners), and the Group Home and Independent Living Program segments were sold in October 2023 to RHA Health Services (backed by Blue Wolf Capital). H.I.G. acquired JHC in January 2017 and during its hold the company expanded group home capacity, grew home-care census hours and materially improved revenue and EBITDA prior to the divestitures.

Z Capital-Backed Twin Star Home Acquires Classic Accessories from CID Capital

Twin Star Home, a Z Capital Partners-backed omnichannel home furnishings platform, has acquired Classic Accessories, a Seattle-based maker of protective outdoor covers, cushions and outdoor living accessories. The deal, sold by Indianapolis-based PE firm CID Capital, strengthens Twin Star's outdoor living assortment and e-commerce capabilities; terms were not disclosed.
