Hg Invests in Empyrean Solutions with Spectrum Equity Participation

Hg has made a significant growth investment in Empyrean Solutions, a Woburn, Massachusetts-based provider of risk and performance management SaaS for banks and credit unions. Existing investor Spectrum Equity is participating alongside Hg and current shareholders including TechVenture Investors and management will remain invested; terms were not disclosed.

Mercer Advisors Acquires Empyrion Wealth Management

Mercer Advisors, a PE-backed national Registered Investment Adviser headquartered in Denver, has acquired Empyrion Wealth Management, a Roseville, California-based wealth management firm led by founder Kimberly Foss. Empyrion serves ~90 clients with approximately $250 million AUM; the practice was represented by Republic Capital Group and will join Mercer’s platform to gain scale and expanded back-office capabilities.

Sciens Building Solutions (Huron Capital) Acquires Empire Electric and Empire Fire Safety

Huron Capital's ExecFactor platform Sciens Building Solutions has acquired Miami-based Empire Electric, Maintenance, and Service and Empire Fire Safety as an add-on to deepen Sciens' fire detection, suppression and electrical services presence in Florida. Empire, founded in 1988, will remain led by President Tony Hernandez and brings over 100 employees and capabilities in design, installation, compliance testing, maintenance and monitoring for commercial, hospitality, healthcare, education and residential customers.

Pelican Energy Partners provided equity financing to Excel and will be a passive equity holder to support Excel's growth and future acquisitions while Excel's leadership remains in place.
