May River Capital, a Chicago-based private equity firm, has acquired Unibloc Pump, a Kennesaw, Georgia-based manufacturer of sanitary positive displacement pumps, valves, strainers and related flow-control equipment. The deal positions Unibloc to accelerate growth initiatives and expand capacity while founder Harry Soderstrom remains with the company as Chief Growth Officer.

Unibloc Pump, a US-based sanitary flow control manufacturer and portfolio company of May River Capital, has acquired Flotronic Pumps Ltd, a UK maker of air-operated double diaphragm (AODD) pumps. The deal (terms undisclosed) positions Unibloc to expand its European footprint while giving Flotronic access to Unibloc's North American manufacturing, sales and distribution capabilities.

GELPAC Acquires Standard Multiwall Bag Mfg. Co.

GELPAC, a North American packaging solutions leader, has acquired Standard Multiwall Bag Mfg. Co., a family-owned manufacturer with production plants in Beaverton, Oregon and Lubbock, Texas. The deal — supported by financing from CDPQ, W Investments and a banking syndicate led by National Bank of Canada and with strategic support from NAMAKOR Holdings — expands GELPAC's production footprint and strengthens its capacity to serve agrifood, pharmaceutical and industrial customers across North America.

H.I.G. Europe Acquires Standard Hidraulica from Aalberts

H.I.G. Europe, an affiliate of H.I.G. Capital, has completed the acquisition of Standard Hidraulica (STH), an international plumbing supplies and sanitary fittings group headquartered in Montcada i Reixac (Barcelona), from Aalberts N.V. H.I.G. said it will support STH’s transition to an independent company and accelerate organic and inorganic growth while leading consolidation in its core markets across Spain, the UK, South Africa and Greece.
