May River Capital, a Chicago-based private equity firm, has acquired Unibloc Pump, a Kennesaw, Georgia-based manufacturer of sanitary positive displacement pumps, valves, strainers and related flow-control equipment. The deal positions Unibloc to accelerate growth initiatives and expand capacity while founder Harry Soderstrom remains with the company as Chief Growth Officer.

May River will organize the acquired brands under a newly formed platform, Tusk Industrial, and partner with the existing management team to invest in product development, market expansion and potential add-ons; CECO will use proceeds to pay down debt and fund growth initiatives.
