Solmax Acquires TenCate Geosynthetics from Koninklijke Ten Cate

Solmax has agreed to acquire TenCate Geosynthetics from Koninklijke Ten Cate, combining two leading global geosynthetics manufacturers. Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) and Fonds de solidarité FTQ are investing in the transaction to support Solmax's continued international expansion; the deal is expected to close in Q2 2021 subject to customary approvals.

Leonard Green & Partners Acquires Majority Stake in TenCate Grass

Affiliates of Leonard Green & Partners (LGP) will acquire a majority stake in TenCate Grass Holding B.V., purchasing shares from Crestview Partners and select other shareholders. TenCate's senior management will remain invested and continue to lead the company; the transaction advances LGP's entry into the sports and outdoor living surfaces market and is expected to close in February 2024 (terms undisclosed).

The LandTek founders and management will remain substantial shareholders and continue to lead the company as TenCate looks to expand its East Coast footprint and combine LandTek's service capabilities with TenCate's product portfolio and U.S. supply chain.

TenCate Grass Acquires Sports & Leisure Group from Sun European Affiliate

TenCate Grass Holding B.V. has acquired Sports & Leisure Group (SLG), a vertically integrated artificial turf systems manufacturer headquartered in Sint‑Niklaas, Belgium. The shares were sold by an affiliate of Sun European Partners; former SLG shareholders, including the Sun European affiliate, will reinvest part of the sale proceeds into TenCate. The deal expands TenCate's geographic footprint and Outdoor Living portfolio across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia and South America.
