upGrad Acquires Talentedge; Sekhsaria Family Office Takes Stake in upGrad

upGrad has completed the acquisition and integration of Talentedge through a near-100% share-swap, folding Talentedge’s higher-education and professional-learning business into the upGrad group. Talentedge was valued at INR 205 Crore (~$27M) in the transaction and the Sekhsaria Family Office (former 100% owners of Talentedge) took a stake in upGrad at a post-transaction upGrad valuation of $2.0 billion. Talentedge will continue to operate under its own brand within upGrad and is projected to cross INR 150 Crore (~$20M) in gross revenue in the coming year.

Cinven to Acquire INSEEC U.

Cinven has agreed to acquire INSEEC U., a leading European private higher education group that operates 16 schools and online programmes and serves roughly 25,000 students annually. Financial terms were not disclosed; Cinven plans to support INSEEC U.'s continued organic growth and international expansion, including development of online education and consolidation of the fragmented private higher education market.

upGrad Acquires Centum Learning

upGrad has acquired 100% of Centum Learning in a share-swap deal; Bharti Enterprises and its affiliates are joining upGrad's cap table as part of the transaction. Centum, headquartered in New Delhi, is a corporate and vocational training provider that reported ~USD 21 million in FY23 revenue and has a total headcount of over 2,000; the business will continue to operate independently under CEO Sanjay Bahl.

Cengage Group Acquires Infosec

Cengage Group agreed to acquire Infosec, a cybersecurity education and training provider, for $190.8 million. The deal brings Infosec into Cengage’s Workforce Skills business to expand its cybersecurity professional training offerings, increase recurring revenue, and reach more learners and enterprise customers; the transaction was expected to close in Q1 2022 subject to customary conditions.

upGrad Acquires Harappa Education for $38M to Strengthen Enterprise Learning

The deal brings Harappa’s leadership-skills curriculum and enterprise client base (about 100 mid-to-large organizations) into upGrad’s integrated lifelong-learning platform to expand its enterprise learning capabilities.

Ekinops Acquires Olfeo

Ekinops has completed the acquisition of 100% of Olfeo's share capital through its holding company Oscar SAS, buying the cybersecurity software provider from its founding shareholders, financial investors and employee shareholders. The deal brings Olfeo's SSE/SASE web security capabilities (SaaS and on-premises) into Ekinops, adding ~60 employees, €6.3m ARR (2024) and over 500 customers to accelerate Ekinops' push to become a leading European network cybersecurity (SASE) player.
