CVC Capital Partners Acquires 49% Stake in Star Vision (OLENS)

CVC Capital Partners has acquired a 49% stake in Star Vision, the operator of Korea’s colour contact lens brand OLENS, from existing investors PS Alliance and Pearl Investment in a deal valuing the company in the upper KRW 600 billion range. CVC will partner with Star Vision to accelerate the OLENS brand’s global expansion — the company currently operates over 400 outlets across Asia, including recent entry into Japan and locations in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Visual Data Acquires EVA Localisation

AbbVie Enters Strategic Alliance with iSTAR Medical for MINIject with Option to Acquire

AbbVie has entered into a strategic alliance with iSTAR Medical to further develop and commercialize the MINIject minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) device. iSTAR will receive a $60M non-dilutive upfront payment and AbbVie holds an exclusive right to acquire iSTAR, with up to $475M of additional contingent payments tied to closing and milestones; iSTAR will remain independent until completion of its STAR‑V study.
