Destination Pet Acquires Pet Palace Pet Boarding Resort

Destination Pet has acquired Pet Palace Pet Boarding Resort, a luxury pet care operator with 11 locations across Ohio, Indiana, North Carolina and Pennsylvania and more than 500 employees. The acquisition expands Destination Pet’s national pet resort and clinic network, adds a luxury resort brand, and enables wider rollout of Destination Pet’s connected care model and Yourgi app; Pet Palace founder Brian Hudock will remain as a strategic advisor.

H.I.G. Capital Affiliate Acquires Family Entertainment Group

H.I.G. Capital, through one of its affiliates, has completed the acquisition of Family Entertainment Group Holdings, LLC. The Itasca, Illinois–based company operates nearly 60 family entertainment locations and provides turnkey outsourced arcade and facility management services; H.I.G. will partner with founder George Smith and the existing management team to accelerate growth and expand the company's market presence.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation Acquires Playa Hotels & Resorts N.V.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation completed the acquisition of Playa Hotels & Resorts N.V., adding 15 all-inclusive resorts across Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica to its Inclusive Collection. The deal expands Hyatt's all-inclusive footprint and capabilities, incorporating properties already operating under Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara brands; Hyatt said it will provide additional financial details on its Q2 2025 earnings call.

Penn National Gaming Acquires Operations of Hollywood Casino Perryville

Penn National Gaming completed the acquisition of the operations of Hollywood Casino Perryville from Gaming and Leisure Properties, Inc. for $31.1 million in cash and entered into a lease with GLPI for the facility real estate with annual rent of approximately $7.77 million. The deal, approved by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Commission, expands Penn National's regional gaming footprint and omni-channel sports betting capabilities in Maryland.
