J.F. Lehman & Company (through an investment affiliate) has acquired Atomic Transport, a Chattanooga-based specialized waste transport and transfer station management company. Comvest Partners (Comvest Credit Opportunities) sold its stake in Atomic; Atomic founders and management rolled equity and will continue to lead the business as JFLCO supports growth initiatives across the company's 30 terminals in 19 states.

Atlas Technical Consultants has acquired TranSmart Technologies, Inc., a Chicago-headquartered transportation engineering and consulting firm. The deal, facilitated by sell-side advisor Woodbridge International, will expand Atlas’s ITS, traffic and transportation engineering capabilities and extend TranSmart’s services into larger projects and new U.S. markets.

Cyclo Therapeutics Merges with Applied Molecular Transport; Combined Company to Operate as Cyclo Therapeutics, Inc.

Cyclo Therapeutics completed an all-stock merger with Applied Molecular Transport (AMT), with AMT shareholders receiving 0.1331 shares of Cyclo Therapeutics for each AMT share (approximately 5,822,720 Cyclo shares, or ~18% of the combined company). The combined, Nasdaq-listed company will operate as Cyclo Therapeutics, focus on advancing the Phase 3 TransportNPC study of Trappsol Cyclo for Niemann-Pick Disease Type C1, be led by Cyclo's existing management and headquartered in Gainesville, Florida.

OnLine Transport Inc. Acquires A/T Transportation and Automated Logistics, Inc.

OnLine Transport Inc., a national asset-based carrier headquartered in Greenfield, Indiana, acquired A/T Transportation and Automated Logistics, Inc. of Ferdinand, Indiana, effective August 11, 2023. The deal is an add-on to OnLine’s expanding platform—its sixth acquisition since 2019—adding truckload capacity, warehousing and brokerage capabilities and new shipper relationships.

ToxStrategies (Renovus-backed) Acquires Modality Solutions

ToxStrategies, a Renovus Capital Partners-backed life sciences consulting platform, has acquired Modality Solutions, a Houston-based firm specializing in biopharmaceutical cold-chain optimization and shipping validation testing. The add-on expands ToxStrategies' cold-chain, package engineering, and regulatory testing capabilities and will operate as a division of ToxStrategies with Modality's founders continuing to lead the business.
