AGCO and Trimble Form PTx Trimble Joint Venture (AGCO 85% Stake)

AGCO Corporation and Trimble have closed a joint venture to form PTx Trimble, combining Trimble's precision agriculture business with AGCO's JCA Technologies. AGCO acquired an 85% stake (Trimble holds 15%), will consolidate the JV into its financials, and expects the combined precision ag revenue to exceed $2.0 billion by 2028.

The business, which operates leading brands including GSI, Cumberland, AP, Tecno and Cimbria, generates approximately $1 billion in annual revenue, employs ~3,200 people across 14 manufacturing facilities globally, and will be led by CEO Jacob Thomas.
