Gas South Acquires Infinite Energy

Gas South agreed to acquire Florida-based Infinite Energy, acquiring its wholesale and retail natural gas business and customer list (the companies said the deal would close by end of 2020 subject to regulatory approvals). The transaction will more than double Gas South's annual revenue to about $1 billion and expand its customer base across the Southeast; Infinite Energy's Texas retail electricity business is excluded from the sale.

Aggreko Energy Transition Solutions (ETS), a division of Aggreko, has acquired Infiniti Energy, a U.S.-based commercial and industrial solar developer and IPP, from Upper Bay Infrastructure Partners. The deal adds 12 MW of contracted operating solar assets, 22 MW of construction-ready projects and an additional pipeline to Aggreko ETS, strengthening its distributed solar EPC capabilities and East Coast presence.

Southern Energy Corp Acquires Gwinville Field Assets from PetroTX Energy

Southern Energy Corp. entered into a definitive purchase and sale agreement to acquire the remaining producing acreage in the Gwinville Field (Jefferson Davis County, Mississippi) from PetroTX Energy, LLC for $3.2 million. The acquired assets produce roughly 400 boe/d (predominantly natural gas), add inventory and reserves, and are expected to generate immediate operating synergies and >30% operating cost savings when integrated with Southern's existing Gwinville operations.

The acquisition (subject to FERC approval) expands Energywell's retail footprint across 13 states and Washington, D.C., and will enable rapid deployment of Energywell's Proton platform across the Think Energy customer base.
