Crane Company Acquires Vian Enterprises, Inc.

Crane Company has acquired Vian Enterprises, Inc. for approximately $103 million on a cash-free, debt-free basis. Vian, a designer and manufacturer of multi-stage lubrication pumps and lubrication system components for aerospace and defense, reported trailing 12-month sales of about $33 million and adjusted EBITDA of approximately $8 million; Crane said the acquisition expands its Aerospace & Electronics fluid solution capabilities and is expected to be immediately accretive to segment margins.

Ardian is leading a consortium including Tikehau Capital, EMZ, Bpifrance, Amundi and the Fonds France Nucléaire (managed by Siparex) in a leveraged buyout of Vulcain Engineering. The transaction effects the exit of existing shareholders Equistone Partners Europe and Sagard while co-CEOs Frédéric Grard and Alban Guilloteau and more than 350 employee-shareholders strengthen their positions. Crane Engineering, a family-owned fluid processing distributor based in Kimberly, Wisconsin, has acquired Geiger Pump & Equipment Company, a Mid-Atlantic distributor and service provider of fluid process equipment with locations in Baltimore, Maryland and Aston, Pennsylvania. The deal expands Crane Engineering's geographic footprint into the Mid-Atlantic and New England and will keep Geiger's president, Chris Brown, in leadership of Geiger operations and in a corporate role with Crane.
