Cerberus Affiliate Makes Growth Investment in Vivace International

Vivace International Corporation, a New Orleans–based manufacturer of specialty propulsion tanks for space and defense applications, received a growth capital investment from an affiliate of Cerberus Capital Management. The funding will support Vivace's work on national security programs and help scale its engineering and manufacturing capabilities for U.S. spaceflight, hypersonics, and launch vehicle markets.

Cerberus Capital Management Acquires Votaw Precision Technologies

Cerberus Capital Management has acquired Votaw Precision Technologies, a Santa Fe Springs, California-based specialty manufacturer of mission-critical hardware and components for aerospace, defense, space and maritime applications. The deal, led by Cerberus' Supply Chain and Strategic Opportunities platform, will support investments to expand Votaw's machining and assembly capacity, deepen customer relationships, and broaden its geographic footprint to bolster the U.S. defense industrial base.

Veritas Capital Acquires CAES Space Systems

Headquartered in Colorado Springs, CAES Space Systems supplies radiation-hardened electronics and mission-critical space components; management will remain in place and the transaction was expected to close in Q1 2023 (terms undisclosed).

Crane Company Acquires Vian Enterprises, Inc.

Crane Company has acquired Vian Enterprises, Inc. for approximately $103 million on a cash-free, debt-free basis. Vian, a designer and manufacturer of multi-stage lubrication pumps and lubrication system components for aerospace and defense, reported trailing 12-month sales of about $33 million and adjusted EBITDA of approximately $8 million; Crane said the acquisition expands its Aerospace & Electronics fluid solution capabilities and is expected to be immediately accretive to segment margins.

Special Aerospace Services (SAS) Acquires Concordia Technologies

Special Aerospace Services (SAS), a Godspeed Capital-backed platform, has acquired Huntsville-based Concordia Technologies, a specialist in missile and hypersonic weapons defense, sensor design, and modeling & simulation. The deal — which closed October 24, 2024 — strengthens SAS's hypersonics and missile defense capabilities and expands its national security space engineering and mission-support offerings.

Acrisure Acquires Volante Global

Acrisure has acquired Volante Global, a London-headquartered, multi-class international Managing General Agent (MGA) that includes brands such as Aesir Space and Horizon Europe AG. The deal (terms not disclosed) brings Volante's specialty underwriting capabilities, Lloyd’s syndicate alignment and international presence into Acrisure’s growing MGA strategy; prior majority investor was Nephila Holdings Ltd. (a subsidiary of Markel Corporation).
