Godspeed Capital Management LP has partnered with Special Aerospace Services (SAS) to establish a new platform focused on space engineering, hypersonics, and missile defense technologies. The platform, which will operate under the SAS brand and be led by CEO Heather Bulk and CFO Warren Kohm, brings ~250 cleared engineers and a mix of prime contracts serving U.S. defense/intelligence agencies and commercial space customers.

The add-on expands SAS' capabilities in secure communications, network and AV systems for NASA, Department of Defense, commercial space and other government customers; Quintron president Dominick Barry will become SAS COO.

Godspeed Capital-backed Special Aerospace Services (SAS) has acquired Willbrook Solutions, a Huntsville-based analytical solutions provider to the Missile Defense Agency, DIA, NASA and the DoD. The add-on expands SAS’s space engineering and missile defense capabilities, bringing Willbrook’s ~75 cleared engineering and analytics professionals into the SAS platform to support missile defense, modeling & simulation, telemetry and related programs.

Cerberus Acquires Vivace International

An affiliate of Cerberus Capital Management has completed the full acquisition of Vivace International, a New Orleans–based maker of mission‑critical propulsion tanks and aerospace systems. Cerberus initially made a growth investment in 2024 and plans to scale Vivace's production capacity and advanced manufacturing capabilities to support an expanding portfolio of U.S. defense and spaceflight programs; retired Space Force Colonel and former NASA astronaut Michael Hopkins has joined Vivace as a Senior Advisor.

Congruent Investment Partners Acquires Swanda Aerospace

Congruent Investment Partners, a Dallas-based private investment firm, has acquired Swanda Aerospace, a fourth-generation, family-owned manufacturer of jet engine test cells headquartered in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Waypoint Private Capital served as the exclusive sell-side M&A advisor to Swanda; Congruent said it will work with management to grow the business.

Highlander Partners Acquires Black Sage Technologies

Highlander Partners, through its defense-focused division High Point Aerotechnologies, acquired Black Sage Technologies from Acorn Growth Companies. Black Sage, a Boise-based developer and integrator of Counter-UAS hardware and its DefenseOS C2 software, will complement Highlander’s growing C-UAS platform and expand capabilities for military, internal security, and critical infrastructure customers.
