An affiliate of Veritas Capital has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire CAES Space Systems from CAES. Headquartered in Colorado Springs, CAES Space Systems supplies radiation-hardened electronics and mission-critical space components; management will remain in place and the transaction was expected to close in Q1 2023 (terms undisclosed).

AMETEK, Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Abaco Systems, Inc. from Veritas Capital in an all-cash transaction valued at $1.35 billion. Abaco, headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama, is a provider of rugged embedded computing systems for aerospace, defense and specialized industrial markets with approximately $325 million in annual sales; the acquisition will fold Abaco into AMETEK's Electronic Instruments Group and is expected to close mid-2021 subject to customary approvals.

The deal combines athenahealth with Veritas-owned Virence Health under the athenahealth brand, creating a larger healthcare IT provider headquartered in Watertown, Massachusetts, led by Bob Segert.
