JSW Neo Energy Acquires O2 Power from EQT and Temasek for $1.5B

JSW Neo Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of JSW Energy, has agreed to acquire O2 Power from EQT Infrastructure IV and Temasek for USD 1.5 billion. O2 Power, headquartered in Gurgaon, India, is a utility-scale renewable energy platform with c.4.7 GW of secured capacity and a team of over 300 employees.

JSW Neo Energy Completes Acquisition of Mytrah Energy Renewable Portfolio

JSW Neo Energy Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of JSW Energy Limited, has completed the acquisition of a 1,753 MW renewable energy portfolio (comprising 15 project SPVs and 13 ancillary SPVs) from Mytrah Energy (India) Private Limited for an enterprise valuation of approximately ₹10,150 Crores. The portfolio includes 1,331 MW of wind and 422 MW (487 MWp DC) of solar capacity across southern, western and central India and will significantly increase JSW Energy's operating renewable capacity as part of its targets to reach 10 GW by FY2025 and 20 GW by 2030.

EQT Infrastructure Acquires Cypress Creek Renewables

EQT Infrastructure V has agreed to acquire Cypress Creek Renewables, a vertically integrated U.S. solar and storage developer, owner and operator, from funds managed by HPS Investment Partners and Temasek. The deal will support Cypress Creek's growth plans — including investments in operations, digital and sustainability initiatives — and is expected to close subject to customary approvals in H2 2021.

Eiffage Énergie Systèmes Acquires EQOS from Triton

Funds advised by Triton have signed an agreement to sell EQOS, a European specialty installation and service company focused on energy, telecoms and rail infrastructure, to Eiffage Énergie Systèmes. Terms were not disclosed; under Triton EQOS reached ~EUR 459m revenue and ~1,700 employees, and Eiffage said the acquisition will help it enter and densify energy infrastructure markets in Germany and Austria.

Equinor and SSE Thermal Acquire Triton Power from Energy Capital Partners

Equinor and SSE Thermal have completed the £341 million acquisition of Triton Power from Energy Capital Partners, forming a 50:50 joint venture to own Triton. The deal includes the 1.2 GW Saltend Power Station and positions the buyers to decarbonise flexible power generation — including plans to prepare Saltend to run on up to 30% hydrogen from 2027 and eventual conversion to hydrogen — while supporting Equinor's H2H Saltend hydrogen project.
