Briggs & Stratton Takes Minority Stake in Accelerated Systems, Inc.

Briggs & Stratton has acquired a minority equity stake in Accelerated Systems, Inc. (ASI), an Ontario-based developer of traction and control systems, electric motors, controllers and battery systems. The investment includes an option for Briggs & Stratton to acquire additional equity over the next five years and is intended to accelerate Briggs & Stratton's electrification capabilities.
