SES/SES Government Solutions Acquires DRS Global Enterprise Solutions from Leonardo DRS for $450M

SES, via its wholly-owned subsidiary SES Government Solutions (SES GS), completed the $450 million acquisition of DRS Global Enterprise Solutions (DRS GES) from Leonardo DRS. The deal combines DRS GES with SES GS to create a scaled multi-orbit satellite communications solutions provider focused on expanding US Government business, unlocking about $25 million of annualized synergies and broadening SES's government-focused capabilities.

The transaction, unanimously approved by GSE’s board and overwhelmingly approved by shareholders, takes GSE private; Pelican plans to invest in GSE’s technology and growth to expand its nuclear and power-industry services.

GRSi, a federal-focused IT, systems engineering and cybersecurity provider with ~700 employees, is expected to contribute approximately $140 million of annualized revenue and had a backlog of about $550 million at closing.
