    A consortium led by Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), a part of BlackRock, and EQT Infrastructure VI will acquire The AES Corporation (AES) for $15.00 per share in cash, implying total equity value of about $10.7 billion and enterprise value of approximately $33.4 billion (including assumed debt). The deal is expected to close in late 2026 or early 2027, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions, with AES to become privately held.
