22nd Century Technologies Acquires BT Federal

22nd Century Technologies has acquired BT Federal, BT's U.S. government contracting subsidiary, from BT to form a new operating unit branded 22nd Century Networks. The deal expands 22nd Century's managed network and telecommunications capabilities nationwide to support U.S. federal missions; BT said the sale is part of a portfolio simplification and refocus on UK-centric operations. The transaction was cleared by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission.
