Amwins Acquires Superior Underwriters

Amwins, a leading wholesale distributor of specialty insurance products, has acquired Superior Underwriters, a Bellevue, Washington–based managing general agency (MGA). The business, which will join Amwins Access, closed on December 31, 2024; terms were not disclosed and the acquisition is intended to strengthen Amwins' presence in the Pacific Northwest and expand its small-business binding authority capabilities.

Amwins Acquires Community Association Insurance Solutions (CAIS)

Madison Dearborn Partners Increases Equity Stake in Amynta Group

Funds affiliated with Madison Dearborn Partners (MDP) acquired all equity interests in Amynta Group previously held by AmTrust Financial Services, increasing MDP’s majority ownership while Amynta’s management retains a minority stake. The transaction strengthens MDP’s partnership with Amynta to support continued growth of the underwriting services and warranty business; existing commercial arrangements between Amynta and AmTrust will remain in place.

World Insurance Associates Acquires M. Adams & Associates, Inc.

World Insurance Associates LLC acquired the business of M. Adams & Associates, Inc. of Hazlet, New Jersey on June 1, 2023. M. Adams, founded in 1991, is a small insurance agency providing personal and commercial insurance and employee benefits; legal counsel for the deal included Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla for World and Connell Foley LLP and The Manhattan Group advising M. Adams.
