Arsenal Capital Partners Acquires Clariant's Healthcare Packaging Business (Rebranded as Airnov)

Arsenal Capital Partners has completed the acquisition of Clariant's healthcare packaging business, which will be rebranded as Airnov Healthcare Packaging. The carved-out business—a global maker of desiccants, oxygen-scavenging solutions and barrier plastic bottles with manufacturing sites in France, the U.S., China and India—employs ~600 people and will be led by Matthias Brommer under Arsenal's ownership as it pursues organic investment and complementary acquisitions.

ACON Investments Acquires Novipax

ACON Investments has acquired Novipax, the U.S. market leader in absorbent pads for fresh meat and poultry packaging, from Atlas Holdings. The transaction transfers Novipax's absorbent pad manufacturing facilities and headquarters in Oak Brook, Illinois, to ACON, while the tray business is excluded from the sale and will operate separately as NPX ONE.

Vonco Products Acquires Flex-Pak Packaging Products

Vonco Products LLC acquired Flex-Pak Packaging Products, Inc., a Batavia, Illinois-based specialist in flexible barrier packaging and sterile DuPont Tyvek pouches. The acquisition, which closed December 31, 2021, expands Vonco's contract manufacturing capabilities for healthcare and consumer markets by adding sterile barrier pouch expertise and complementary packaging services.

Novvia Group (Kelso-backed) Acquires Northern Container

Novvia Group, a Kelso & Company-backed national rigid container and life sciences packaging distributor based in St. Louis, acquired Northern Container, a rigid packaging distributor operating a 35,000 sq. ft. facility in Alsip, Illinois. Financial terms were not disclosed; the deal expands Novvia's Midwest footprint and augments its product and service capabilities (next-day delivery, steel/plastic pails, paint cans, bottles and jars).

AptarGroup Acquires FusionPKG (Fusion Packaging I, L.P.)

AptarGroup, Inc. has entered into a binding agreement to acquire Fusion Packaging I, L.P. (FusionPKG), a Dallas-based provider of turnkey airless and color cosmetics packaging solutions. The acquisition strengthens Aptar's Beauty + Home segment by adding fast-beauty design, formulation and concept-to-launch capabilities and is expected to be accretive to segment margins.

Novvia Group Acquires Andicor Container Distribution (Canada)
