Novvia Group (Kelso-backed) Acquires Southern Container

Novvia Group, a Kelso & Company–backed packaging platform, has acquired Southern Container, LLC, a distributor of plastic, metal, fiber, and glass rigid packaging products headquartered in Dalton, Georgia. Southern Container's existing management will remain in place as the company becomes part of Novvia's national distribution platform to strengthen its Southeast presence and service capabilities.

St. Louis-based Novvia Group, backed by private equity firm Kelso & Company, has acquired Innovative Container, a La Mirada, California distributor of plastic, metal, glass and corrugated rigid containers. The add-on expands Novvia's West Coast presence under its regional platform Rhino Container; financial terms were not disclosed.

Novvia Group Acquires Duval Container Company

The acquisition (terms undisclosed) expands Novvia's presence in the U.S. Southeast and adds Duval's two warehouses, walk-up counter sales capability and customer base across chemical, agriculture and food & beverage markets.

Rhino, which operates approximately 280,000 square feet of warehouse space across California and has 30 years of industry experience, will continue to be led by its existing management team; financial terms were not disclosed.
