AFC Industries, a portfolio company of Bertram Capital, has acquired Motor City Industrial from private equity investors Kian Capital Partners and Oakland Standard. The add-on expands AFC's value‑added distribution footprint for fasteners and consumable industrial products, bringing Motor City’s vendor-managed inventory, kitting and technology capabilities into AFC’s platform; terms were not disclosed.

Monroe Engineering Acquires Fasteners, Inc.

The transaction, which closed January 31, 2023, was advised by Generational Equity and represents an add-on acquisition to Monroe’s industrial hardware and fastener platform to expand its regional distribution and inventory capabilities.

MSC Industrial Supply Co. Acquires Tower Fasteners

MSC Industrial Supply Co. (through its All Integrated Solutions subsidiary) has acquired Tower Fasteners, a Holtsville, New York-based value‑added distributor of OEM fasteners and components. Tower will continue operating under its current name with President Mark Shannon remaining in place; the business has ~100 employees and reported approximately $35 million in revenue in 2021. MSC said the deal expands its presence in the OEM fastener market, complements AIS's Midwest footprint with Tower's East Coast and Southwest locations, and is roughly neutral to MSC's fiscal 2022 earnings and slightly accretive to fiscal 2023.

Park-Ohio Acquires Southern Fasteners & Charter Automotive (Changzhou)

Park-Ohio Holdings Corp. completed two acquisitions for its Supply Technologies segment: Southern Fasteners & Supply, Inc., a Winston-Salem, North Carolina-based fastener and MRO distributor (approx. $25M revenue), and Charter Automotive (Changzhou) Co. Ltd., a Changzhou, China-based fastener/automotive components manufacturer (approx. $15M revenue). Both transactions are expected to be immediately accretive and to expand Park-Ohio's fastener manufacturing capability and MRO/distribution footprint.

Brixey & Meyer Capital Acquires Smith Equipment Solutions

Brixey & Meyer Capital (BMC) has acquired Smith Equipment Solutions, a Raleigh, North Carolina-based provider of sales, installation and field service for automotive aftermarket shop equipment. The transaction — closed October 31, 2024 — is BMC's second add-on to its automotive equipment platform (following its recent ProMain purchase) and the sellers, Wil and Emily Smith, will retain an ownership stake.
