Vanderlande to Acquire Siemens Logistics from Siemens

Dutch logistics automation specialist Vanderlande has signed an agreement to acquire Siemens Logistics from German technology company Siemens. The deal — approved by the management and supervisory boards (including Vanderlande’s parent Toyota Industries Corporation) and subject to regulatory approvals — will expand Vanderlande’s airport baggage, cargo handling and digital solutions capabilities and is expected to close next year.

Advanco Acquires Vantage Consulting Group

Advanco, a portfolio company of Parabellum Investments, has acquired manufacturing automation specialist Vantage Consulting Group to combine its ARC serialization platform with Vantage’s automation, design, implementation, and validation engineering services. The acquisition expands advanco’s end-to-end offering for pharmaceutical (and food) manufacturers and supports a stronger strategic push into North America and other major markets.

Siemens Acquires Avatar Integrated Systems

Siemens Digital Industries Software (Mentor) has agreed to acquire Avatar Integrated Systems Inc., a Santa Clara, California developer of place-and-route electronic design automation (EDA) software. Avatar will be integrated into Siemens' Xcelerator portfolio and Mentor IC EDA suite to expand Siemens' chip physical‑design capabilities; terms were not disclosed and the deal was expected to close in H2 2020.

Digital Wholesale Solutions Acquires Giacom from Livingbridge

Digital Wholesale Solutions (DWS) has acquired Giacom, a UK cloud services marketplace, from private equity owner Livingbridge; minority shareholder LDC also exited. Giacom provides cloud software, infrastructure and managed services to IT consultants and more than 70,000 SME end users via its channel platform; DWS said the deal will unlock additional channel opportunities across converged IT and unified communications.
