Averna Acquires ProNES Automation GmbH

Averna, a global test and quality solutions provider based in Montreal, has acquired German automation specialist ProNES Automation GmbH and opened a Landau office to oversee sales and operations in Germany. ProNES founder and CEO Jochen Weber will join Averna's leadership team; the deal strengthens Averna's capabilities in automated quality inspection and battery test solutions while expanding its local presence in Germany.

Averna Acquires Global Equipment Services, Inc. from Kimball Electronics

Averna, a Walter Capital Partners–backed test and quality solutions provider, has acquired Global Equipment Services, Inc. (GES), a division of Kimball Electronics. The deal adds roughly 600 employees, more than 160,000 ft² of manufacturing space and expands Averna’s footprint across Asia and North America with new locations including San Jose, Ho Chi Minh, Suzhou, Trivandrum and Tokyo.

The deal — supported by Averna shareholders including Walter Capital Partners, Investissement Québec and W Investments — adds ~150 employees and expands Averna's capabilities in test & measurement, power engineering and industrial automation as part of its international expansion.

Veranex Acquires Fusion Biotec

The acquisition brings Fusion's 15,000-square-foot facility and 45+ engineering staff into Veranex's Product Design & Engineering capabilities, expanding Veranex's diagnostic/IVD development, software/firmware reuse and Southern California footprint; financial terms were not disclosed.

NI (National Instruments) Acquires Kratzer Automation AG Test Systems Business
