General Atlantic has made a strategic growth investment in Tripleseat, a Concord, Massachusetts–based event management and payments SaaS platform. Existing shareholders Vista Equity Partners, Level Equity, and Enlightened Hospitality Investments will remain minority investors as Tripleseat plans to use the capital to expand market reach, invest in product and technology, and pursue strategic M&A.

Vista Equity Partners Acquires Tripleseat

Vista Equity Partners acquired Tripleseat in March 2020 and will merge Gather (already owned by Vista) into the Tripleseat business. The combined company will operate under the Tripleseat brand, headquartered in Concord, Massachusetts, and will seek to expand and integrate event- and group-booking capabilities for restaurants, hotels and other hospitality venues.

Seated Acquires VenueBook and Raises $30M to Expand into Events

Seated, a restaurant rewards and booking platform, acquired digital event-booking platform VenueBook and raised $30 million led by Insight Partners with participation from Craft Ventures, Greycroft, and Rho Capital Partners. The acquisition adds VenueBook’s event-booking capabilities (and its network of ~120,000 professional event planners) to Seated’s product suite, enabling restaurants to drive revenue from dine-in, pickup/delivery and private events.

Hopin Acquires Attendify
