DecksDirect founder Blair Budlong will remain CEO; Harbour Group said the acquisition will strengthen DecksDirect's market position and support accelerated growth.

The deal expands Decks & Docks' inland decking footprint across the Midwest, bringing The Deck Supply's retail locations and e-commerce capabilities into Decks & Docks' nationwide distribution network; the Smith brothers will continue to lead the business and hold an ownership position in Decks & Docks.

Decks & Docks, a Clearwater, Florida-based specialty distributor (PE-backed by CCMP Growth Advisors), has acquired Bayou City Lumber, a Houston-area distributor of outdoor building products. Bayou City will operate under the Decks & Docks banner and retain its existing employees as Decks & Docks expands its Gulf Coast presence; the deal is the eighth location added since Decks & Docks' October 2023 recapitalization and brings the platform to 43 locations.

Decks & Docks Company, a Clearwater, Florida-based specialty distributor of composite decking and outdoor living products, has acquired Service Wholesale, Inc. (SWI), a Downingtown, Pennsylvania-based distributor of building and remodeling materials. The deal gives Decks & Docks its first Pennsylvania location and adds roofing and siding to its product offering; SWI will operate under the Decks & Docks banner with Eric and Matthew Schmidt continuing to lead the business.

CCMP Growth Advisors Acquires Decks & Docks

CCMP Growth Advisors has partnered with Decks & Docks CEO Shawn Roberts and President Tyler Wallace to acquire Decks & Docks, a Clearwater, Florida-based specialty distributor of marine construction and outdoor living supplies. CCMP will buy out the remaining shareholders while management remains significant shareholders; the investment provides capital to support the company’s growth plan of expanding existing sites, opening new locations and pursuing strategic acquisitions. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The Home Depot Acquires HD Supply Holdings, Inc.

The Home Depot agreed to acquire HD Supply Holdings, Inc. in a cash tender offer valuing the business at approximately $8 billion, with the deal expected to close in late 2020. The acquisition expands The Home Depot's capabilities and distribution footprint in the maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) market—particularly in multifamily and hospitality end markets—and is expected to be accretive to earnings.
