Sotera Health LLC, a PE-backed global provider of sterilization and laboratory services, has acquired Gibraltar Laboratories, a family-owned contract microbiology and analytical chemistry testing firm based in Fairfield, New Jersey. The acquisition — advised by Capstone Partners — expands Sotera/Nelson Labs' testing capabilities and geographic presence in the pharma and medical device markets.

Bruker Corporation Acquires Nion

Bruker Corporation has acquired Nion, a Kirkland, Washington developer and manufacturer of high-end scanning transmission electron microscopes (STEM), including the UltraSTEM line and advanced EELS technology. The acquisition strengthens Bruker's materials science instrumentation portfolio and provides capabilities for electron diffraction crystallography; Nion reported approximately $8 million in revenue in 2023. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Ion Beam Applications S.A. (IBA) has acquired ORA Group (ORA - Optimized Radiochemical Applications SRL and OOC) to strengthen its leadership in nuclear medicine and radiochemistry. The cash-free, debt-free transaction (total consideration €15–20 million) is financed from IBA’s own funds and existing credit facilities and is immediately accretive to IBA Technologies’ revenue and EBITDA; ORA founder Vincent Tadino will continue with the combined business as CTO.

ETL Systems Acquires IRT Technologies
