LFM Capital’s portfolio company SureKap has rebranded as Excelis Packaging Automation and acquired Kraken Automation, a Canada-based specialist in high-speed material handling, case packing and cartoning systems. Financial terms were not disclosed; the acquisition expands Excelis’ turnkey packaging automation capabilities and adds secondary packaging and material-handling expertise to the platform.

Sky Peak Capital Acquires Hicks Machine and Forms Excelus Manufacturing Solutions

Sky Peak Capital, a New England-based private equity firm, has acquired Hicks Machine of Walpole, New Hampshire and launched Excelus Manufacturing Solutions as a holding platform for its precision machining investments. Excelus will combine Hicks and existing portfolio company Jarvis to serve aerospace & defense, medical, high-tech and commercial end markets and pursue additional machining, sheet metal, fabrication and additive manufacturing capabilities.

ProMach Acquires MBF, Italy-based Bottle-Filling Specialist

ProMach has acquired MBF, a Verona, Italy-based manufacturer of rinsing, filling, and closing machines for the wine and distilled spirits industries. The acquisition expands ProMach's filling and closing capabilities and broadens its global reach in the spirits and wine markets; MBF’s leadership team will remain in place and the company’s ~200 employees will join ProMach’s Primary Packaging business line.

The Massman Companies Acquires New England Machinery, Inc.
