Hyatt Hotels Corporation Acquires Standard International

Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced it will acquire the brands and most affiliates of Standard International, the parent company of The Standard and Bunkhouse Hotels, forming a new dedicated lifestyle group headquartered in New York City. The asset-light transaction covers management, franchise and license contracts for 21 open hotels (about 2,000 rooms) and includes a $150 million base purchase price with up to $185 million of contingent consideration.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation completed the acquisition of Playa Hotels & Resorts N.V., adding 15 all-inclusive resorts across Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica to its Inclusive Collection. The deal expands Hyatt's all-inclusive footprint and capabilities, incorporating properties already operating under Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara brands; Hyatt said it will provide additional financial details on its Q2 2025 earnings call.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation agreed to acquire London-based travel club and booking platform Mr & Mrs Smith for an enterprise value of £53.0 million, purchasing 100% of the asset-light platform. The acquisition is intended to strengthen Hyatt’s luxury distribution and loyalty capabilities by adding Mr & Mrs Smith’s curated collection and more than one million members to World of Hyatt; over 100 Mr & Mrs Smith colleagues are expected to join Hyatt’s Commercial Services team.

Capital, has completed the acquisition of Standard Hidraulica (STH), an international plumbing supplies and sanitary fittings group headquartered in Montcada i Reixac (Barcelona), from Aalberts N.V.
